Hummus (makes 2 quarts) from one 1lb bag dry

1lb bag of dry chickpeas
Soak chickpeas for 24-48 hours and rinse throughly.  Cover with water and cook until tender.
Rinse and drain.
add 3/4 cup tahini
1/4 tsp garlic powder
5-7 tablespoons lemon juice (start with 5 and add to taste as needed)
1/4 cup olive oil
1.5 tsp salt

Blend all together in food processor.
Enjoy.
